Aprašymas

Christine Feehan’s #1 New York Times bestselling series returns to the sweltering heat of the rainforest, where a cursed Carpathian finds the mate who will challenge him in every way possible….

Lojos Smolnycki was born tainted by a shadow, a darkness that has only spread during the centuries he’s spent hunting vampires with his Carpathian brothers. He knows that until he finds his lifemate, it’s only a matter of time before he’s consumed completely. Then, Lojos hears a woman’s voice calling out to warn him of danger, and suddenly the urge to protect her rages stronger than his drive to battle the undead.

Botanist Asiri Aguirre is intimately familiar with the dangers that lurk amongst the plants and trees of the Amazon. In a place teeming with life, the jaguar shifter knows that the deadliest predators are not the animals, but the male shifters and ancient Carpathian vampire hunters who call it home. From the day she was born Asiri has had incredibly vivid nightmares of a great evil. And she can sense that evil is coming for her now.

She refuses to flee when the vampires attack, ignoring the commands of the Carpathian trying to sacrifice himself to save her. When he is distracted and gravely wounded, Asiri is compelled to save him in return. And as the lifemates journey through the jungle, back to his people, their bond grows from a spark into a flame that will set them both alight.
